Handmade Midori/Fauxdori notebook.

Ho everyone! I hope you all have a nice Valentine day spend with OH or friend or family! Just wanted to share with you my recent love for notebook making. I am obsessed! As it goes there is also a new challenge on Facebook group for all the Oddballers and a little birdie told me there will be a new DT call coming soon so stay tuned!

Here are some photos of my recent project for Anything goes challenge, click here to enter the group!

I used this amazing digi stamp from Lizzy Love's Etsy store, you can find it here .  I printed her out on a heavy cardstock ensuring she was positioned in the right corner. Afterwards I scored the lines for the Midori size notebook.  I painted the image with my promarkers and sharpies and added highlights with white posca pen.

Next step was to colour the background and I used my watercolours to do so. Before they dried out I used a baby wipe to bled the colours together and allowed to dry. Mixed black with some white and added some darker shading so the images could stand out a little.  Using colourful pens did some writing in the background and a uneven border. Do not like using a ruler to do this as I love this messy uneven look.

Used similar method for the back and the flap. Then I adhered 2 small magnets to close the notebook together and attached the bakers twine pom pom for the page marker before glueing scrapbook paper to the back . Added the lines to the background of the paper and cut the heavy cardstock pages to the back. Used a heavy duty stapler to bind it all together. At the end added red and black washi tape on the layer of double sided tape to keep the washi together and cover the staples.

I would like to enter the project to the following challenges:

TCP Tuesday: The cats pajamas - Anything goes.
Simon Says Stamp - Red + Pink
Craft Hoarders Anonymous - How I love thee
Crafts Galore Encore Challenges - Use a stamp or digi for February
4 Crafty Chicks - Valentines

Thanks for watching !

Lizzy's Whimsy Stamp release!

So our lovely Lizzy Love started her adventure and cooperation with another stamp company. She had released her rubber stamps with amazing Whimsy Stamps ! Such good news! As a Designer Team member I have been asked to prepare a project for the day and I decided to do something else. So here it is...

I used Oddball Arts Stamp which is 4"2 on the longest side and coloured with my Promarkers. I added a cut out from one of my old scrapbook papers and added a paper flower cut out. I sized and cut the tab for the filofax and painted it with my Dylusion Red Post Box colour spray and used some gold distress stain paint from Ranger on the edges to give it some sparkle. Then using my archival ink I stamped the hearts background and using a stencil and white pain did some do swirls. Used black marker to write the quote found on my pinterest board and do the border. Afterwards went off to laminate it and punch the holes for the rings! simple!

Wanted to put this into following challenges:

Thanks for being interested in the post! Do check Lizzy's stamps and look into the challenge blog and take part in the competition as there are fantastic digis to be won! Do not forget there are monthly challenges on our Facebook group too called Mixed.Mediaology(heart)Oddball Arts Stamps. There are always anything goes challenges with many prizes to be won!

Winter mixed media.

Happy New Year's everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous and safe celebrations.

Oddball Arts host another challenge on the blog: Winter. I created this mixed media page in my handmade album. I really loved working on this page and used variety of mediums.

Firstly I used light watered down white gesso to cover some of the sparkles on this silver glitter page. It was really silver and I felt it would take too much from the page. Then I used some blue stain paint from Tim Holtz to add a bit of colour to the background. I used dry kitchen towel to blend it to the background a little. When it dried I added some perfect pearls to give the page some glimmer here and threre. Sprayed with a bit of mist to set it in. Meanwhile coloured the little digi stamp from Oddball Art using my Letraset Promarkers and used a bit of paint for highlights before cutting her out. After stamping the background with heart background stamp I glued the image on using mod podge covering only back of the picture. Added  some bling swirls purchased from Hobbycraft and some liquid perfect pearls from Ranger. I cut out the snowflake templates from my cameo and used modeling paste to finish of the page.

The challenges I am entering this page for:

Christmas card and Facebook group challenge

Hello everyone! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season. Like for most of us December is a really busy time of the year so here is a quick entry of my recently made Christmas card. I used Lizzy's from Oddball Art Stamps Ellie the Elf image no: 120 from her etsy shop. You can find the store here and as a Designer Team member participated for the Facebook challenge.

I used some old papers from my stash as a background and cut some strips to back the photo. The digi stamp is coloured with promarkers and the litte tag comes from Smashbook Christmas pad from K&Company.  Added them some red sequins and few perfect pearl drops.

This card is put into following challenges:

Hiking trip in Zakopane Slideshow

So I have been trying to catch up with my project life and started sorting out my pictures from September's hiking trip to Polish Mountains. I often make slideshows as a nicer form of showing off my photos and this time stumbled upon this free trip advisor programme. I love it!

Birthday card for my Mum

So I do not make many cards but decided to get more into making them and for a practise run made this little card for my Mother. I hope I will make all my Christmas cards myself for this year but with quite a few projects I am currently working on I hope I will be able to do this. So here is this adorable card using this cute Magnolia stamp. I coloured her using my new Promarkers and added some roses from my stash and little  grunge heart. The letters above the bakers twine say : on your birthday.

I decided to add this card to a challenge:

1. That Craft Place - Anything goes.
2. Addicted to Stamps - Anything goes.
3. Love to Create - Anything goes.

Halloween Blog Challenge at Oddball arts stamp

So this is another designer team challenge entry for the month of October. The way it works at the moment is that the DT entries are split into 2 groups hence my late posting.  October's challenge was to make a spooky card or item like Halloween but not necessarily. I made this mixed media page in my altered photo album using silhouette cuts and Lizzy Love's Zombie girl digital stamp no: 46. Here are some pictures of the finished page.

Here is the YouTube video of the full altered album and the challenge page.

The challenge is still life and there is still time to take the part. Here are some useful links:
