Halloween Blog Challenge at Oddball arts stamp

So this is another designer team challenge entry for the month of October. The way it works at the moment is that the DT entries are split into 2 groups hence my late posting.  October's challenge was to make a spooky card or item like Halloween but not necessarily. I made this mixed media page in my altered photo album using silhouette cuts and Lizzy Love's Zombie girl digital stamp no: 46. Here are some pictures of the finished page.

Here is the YouTube video of the full altered album and the challenge page.

The challenge is still life and there is still time to take the part. Here are some useful links:

Oddball Art Stamps DT: challenge no 1

I am so so lucky to have been chosen to be an Oddball Art Stamp design team member and already have participated in the first Facebook challenge. As I am currently studying for my level 5 qualifications at work I decided to do something I could use. Here is my altered school diary for 2014-2015 academic year.

Here are some pictures of the finish product:

I have used Fimo modelling clay to make the blue pencil and heart charms.

I used my Neocolor II watersolubles, acrylic paints, Dylusion sprays, Rangers Distress stain and liquid pearls for the background. Adhered lace ribbon and added a digi stamp by Oddball Art Stamps. Added modelling paste, handmade fimo hearts and some flowers. At the end using my labeling machine printed out the year.

Here is the close up of the beautiful stamp made by Lizzy and link to her etsy shop(click on a link):

I hope you liked the finished project as much as I loved working on it. I am looking forward to my next challenges that are to come on monthly basis... but stay tuned to see more of my work with amazing stamps from Lizzy Love!!!

Frozen inspired shoes

My little niece Lottie is a massive fan of Elsa and her sister Anna so as the school soon starts again I hand painted her those back to school shoes. Firstly I used white fabric pain to cover dark background then acrylic pains and sparkly mod modge at the end. I hope she will love it when she received it before school time... will see!

Wedding present

So my cousin got married in April.. she was doing a really small party and with the expenses of the last months and the prices of the tickets we were unable to fly to Poland for the occasion. So I decided to make her a little present and personalised the cotton bag. I used a digital stamp from etsy from flat friends store coloured it and after scanning printed it out on iron in paper. Loved the  picture and had printed their names and date of birth using my cameo. Easy present that was well received!

Birthday card for my sister

So I know I have not been present here for such a long time and it seems I keep disappearing for a while and then I am back with the vengeance...

Well just because I was offline it does not mean I was not crafting... just after Christmas got myself a silhouette cameo and had been cutting almost constantly. Already had to replace the first mat and even the second is worn out and will not stick. Anyway here is a card I made today for my sister.

I made this card using Sherri Baldy's stamp from her etsy shop. I printed the image and colored it with my neocolor II watersolubles crayons. The fish scale background, Happy Birthday word and the vine flourishes are a cut from cameo and the 2 flowers were from my stash.

Would like to put this card into the challenges below:

1. Rhedd and Rosie's challenge blog - Anything goes.
2. The Squirrel and the Fox - Use embellishments.
3. hThe Rubber Buggy Challenge - Anything goes.

Thanks for bearing with me!

Me again...A little bit more scary.

As with every blog I start strong and keep going for few months or so just to stop in my tracks. And here it happens again. I really just should sit down everyday and make a little note on the the project. Been working on several crafty projects recently for Family's Christmas presents... will be posting when it's completed.

For now will post some of my and Husband's Halloween costume especially the make up. He dressed as a Voodoo Man and I took a costume of Miss Scissorhands. The costumes were great the only disappointment were the scissorhands  but I have not worn them too long. The make up was the fun part... Used Snazaroo's face paint and specialty FX scar wax. Loved loved the outcome and here are few photos for you to enjoy!

Another of my Smash Book pages...

So Sorry!!! I know I have not been posting a lot recently and have not participated in any challenges on the blog etc! I honestly do not know what happened. I guess time always flies by when we want it to stop... I had so much work recently with tons of paper work and loads of meetings and court appearances that I could not find a lot of spare time to do any crafting. Recently (this morning actually) just made a smash book page  and it took me only half hour or so (most of the time I spent on hand stitching the page).  So here is how the page looks:

It's quite a simple design but I think sometimes simple is better. I have printed a free background from the internet adding a quote written in the open office. Then added a DCWV paper from Tattered Time collection. With black pen I had drawn simple running stitch. On top of my photo I glued a Maggie Holmes' fabric frame in yellow and stack Dear Lizzy sticker saying. I cut 3 flags from papers from my stash and mounted the orange one on the top of the picture frame and 2 on the left side. I also hand drawn the stitching pattern. On the top orange flag I added 2 flowers with a button and a basic twine. Between the petals (not really seen on the photo)  I added Maya  Road's canvas button which I inked with Fire-brick red and added some perfect pearls. The top flower was painted using pink liquid pearls and the green button was from my stash. At the end I added a pebbles journalling card in the left upper corner and finished off the page doing back stitch around the entire page!

I wanted to enter this page into a challenge:

Delicious Doodles challenge Stitch it!

Thanks for watching!!!!
