Lilly of the Valley Oddball Art Stamps blog Challenge

Hello everyone!
And a HAPPY EASTER to anyone who celebrates it.

It's another month and another challenge from lovely Lizzy. You can find image used here on her Etsy shop. Looking thru my crafting shelf I found an old shopping bag and immediately I felt I wanted to use it for my design team inspiration project. I found some heat transfer sheets and after transferring image to my Cameo software I printed it out. I coloured it with my Promarkers and scanned it back into the software. Here is the coloured picture:

After  that step I created  stencil for my background and after cutting in on my Silhouette Cameo I used watercolours to paint it. After scanning it back into the computer it looked like this:

Next step included combining all the pieces together and using offset function creating cut lines. Due to the background I just wanted a quick cut so erased a lot of offset parts. And of course as using heat transfer paper REMEMBER  to flip the image although it was not as important on this occasion due to not having any text.

After the whole transfer onto the bag was completed using my hot glue gun I added the gems and pearls together with the sticker letters just so it all will hold together.

And here is the completed project.I had so much fun creating it and only claimed one 'victim'... Next time I hope I will remember not to burn my carpet with the iron while heat transferring. Note to self... use towel underneath if doing it on the floor.

So pop over to Oddball Art Stamps blog and take part in monthly challenges. Love images by Lizzy are a prize and of course it is for all the fun!!!! You can find the blog here.

Crazy Little Thing called Love challenge

HAPPY VALENTINES

I hope everyone had a good day even if you don't celebrate Valentines or is just simply solo. Whatever is your status hop to Lizzy's blog challenge. You can find the Oddball Art Stamps blog here.

My DT project is this little Valentines card made for art swap and used my silhouette to cut it out. I hate fussy cutting and decided to transfer the digi stamp to the studio. Stay tuned for the reminded of the challenge blog post as I will be making a small tutorial of how to do it.

I used image number #281 Bucky be mine and transferred it into the silhouette studio. Cut it out together with the fri fold card then used silhouette  made stencil to cut the background stencil out. Using watercolours added the hearts and after colouring the Bunny with water colours adhered it to the page . At the end using grey watercolour added some shadowing.

I hope you like this little and simple card. Thanks for looking at the post!

I'm back and another Oddball Arts DT challenge

Hello! I am aware it has been so long I believe its been over a year. I had such a difficult patch in my life but now I'm back and feeling positive. In my personal life there had been so many changes... I moved to a new lovely flat, changed job positions and most of all had my little rainbow... my baby girl was born last October. So anyway... one of my New Year's Goals ( not resolutions) was to finish or restart things I quit and of course my blog and DT work was one of them. I have to say it would not be possible without lovely Lizzy, the owner of Oddball Arts. She has been really supportive when I needed it and even when I had not participated all that time in her team she kept me on. I had been 'dropped' from other teams but not Lizzy's. She is one amazing woman!

Anyway, new year and new challenge themed ' Winter tale'! Please pop in to the Oddball blog and look at some amazing inspirations created by the DT members. You can also find the amazing digital stamps by Lizzy here.
For my post I decided to do a mixed media page in my DT album. I used  Dylusions sprays for the background and as the ink was still wet I sprinkled glitter on top in similar colours. Afterwards added some distress inks to the borders of the page and into the page. Using white acrylic pains and the mixed media stencil I added the white circles (snow). I sprayed it all with the clear adhesive. While it was drying I coloured the image of this kawaii Big Eye Owl on the tree using my Promarkers and white Posca pen for highlights. As best as I could I cut the image. I had torn some textured paper and  glued it randomly changing the colours. Ten adhered the image and punched out some circles. Inked them with my Dew Drops chalk inks and black marker for the dots and lines. Added trees and snowflakes wood veneers and using liquid pearls added swirls. They are free handed so not perfect but that's what i Like. Messy and free. Printed the quote using my Dymo label maker and used Promarkers to shade them.
Very sinple but I love it. And here are some photos for you to see. Please come and join us at the Oddball Art blog challenge for your chance to win prizes.
