BabyBlog Hop for Ang !!!

My letter is.... 'L'

Welcome to the Lizzy's and Oddball Arts blog hop. You must have arrived here from Lora's blog!
This post is to celebrate an amazing news! Our DT member become a Mum and this hop is to show her our support!

The blog hop has been such a fun and I just loved working on this little and very simple card. I used a new digital set by Lizzy and you can find it here. I used my watercolours for the bottle accenting it with Wink of Stella in clear. I am in love with anything with splatter but decided just to add a touch of it on the card. Life has been so busy lately that unfortunately I can not spend as much time crafting as I did before. However I am hoping to be back with full force soon.

So your next point of hop is a blog of a lovely Naz. Click for the blog here

Once you have done all the hop posts stops you will return to the main post and leave the result of the hop. There are 3 digi  stamps to be won so I am encouraging you to have fun and take part!!!

Wedding anniversary.

So here comes the day again when we celebrated the anniversary of our wedding. Gosh I just can't believe in was 10 years ago when we said I DO. However this time we had been sad despite still being in love. Recently we had a personal tragedy which I really am not ready to talk about but we lost a precious gift.

Anyway as we both were not in full celebration mood we had not prepared any gifts this year. It was no longer important so I just made this little 10 minute card for my OH. The flourish card was already pre cut in this design and I had purchased it in local Hobby Craft.

I used ppinkydolls art digital stamp called Forever Friends and you can find the shop here.
I coloured the image with my Pro Markers but as the image itself is really small and I did not wanted to spend a lot of time working on the card I only filled out the most important parts of the design. And I actually like it that way. Then I added the wooden embellishment sentiment ' awesome'  which my Husband often uses (especially after the Lego movie - and here the song plays out in my mind again...) and added some pink rhinestones.

In the card I had written about how much I love him and so on and so on. Lastly I added a little bit of Wink of Stella shimmer to the wooden sentiment and the image.

I am entering this card to the following challenge:

Hope everyone takes care and I will return shortly with more creations and better mind set. X

ECLP cover

So I am such a big planner addict and recently received my Erin Condren Life Planner. I ordered just one cover but felt I really had to put my own touch there too. So I decided to use this beautiful Sherri Baldy digital stamp and use her as a main focus on the page. As it is she is also a sponsor on our Crafts Galore Encore Challenges so feel free to have a look on the blog and take part in Anything goes challenge for August. Also have a look at Sherri's digital stamp Etsy store.

So I used Tim Holz Distress Ink to colour the background. Then the bottom half was covered with another green colour to give the effect of green grass. I added bricks afterwards using my stencil mask followed by black swirls with another one. On both I used Distress Ink. I printed and cut out the digital stamp colouring it with my Promarkers adding highlights with white marker. I used black marker to write the quote I really loved which I had on my Pinterest board. I did the white hearts and pain splatters with my acrylic paint and watercolours to create the shadow. With a marker I had drawned the lines to imitate the borders and after it all had dried out I laminated the cover leaving gap for punching the holes.

I am putting this cover for the following challenges:

'Dancing Dave' Birthday Card.

Hello! Hope everyone is OK. The weather outside the window for the past few days reminded me more of autumn season than summer with loads and loads of rain and wind! So been trying to snuggle at home with a warm cup of beverage and sitting cozy in the bed. Unfortunately my kitty cat has been poorly and for the past 3 days had been receiving an ongoing treatment from the Vet.

Here at Oddball Stamps we are having a monthly challenge reminder for the 'Die Cuts' challenge. There is still time to take part as the challenge will not close until middle of August.

I made this lovable and cute robot card for a family members Birthday and tried making it more masculine. Not sure I succeeded to full extend but I love it.  If you fancy having a go at creating similar project using this whimsical digital stamp from sweet Lizzy Love you can find him here

I used Mojo Mondays challenge for the layout of the card but had only trimmed the front page.  wanted the card to be quite simple so only used papers from one collection. Even the vines are die cutted from the same paper pack. At the end I just added a blue flower and finished off the card.

I am entering my card into following challenges:

Mojo Monday - sketch challenge 408
The Craft Barn Weekly challenge - clean and simple.

Take care everyone and let's hope we will have a sunny day here in UK today !

Elsa the piggy card.

So I just looked at Oddball Art Stamps etsy store and had instantly fallen in love with this little piggy. I mean how can you not? If you are interested you can purchase her  here.

I used several techniques to finish this creation starting with embossing hearts background. Unfortunately the powder was quite old and with some remnants of other colours hence the lack of clear image. I coloured Elsa with my Promarkers using shades of pink:  Antique pink, Baby pink, Dusky pink and Pale blossom. For the hooves I used Tan and Sunkissed pink. For the bow I used Duck egg and Cadet Blue and the little heart with Poppy and Red. I used some white marker to highlight some areas and the whole image was treated with clear Wink of Stella.

I used Ranger's Peeled Pain distress ink to colour the top part of the background as I based my layout on Mojo Monday's sketch challenge. With a little damp paper towel I wiped the excess of the embossed hearts. I cut the strip and the bottom of the background out of pattern paper and adhered to the card. I mounted the image on another dark cardstock attaching it to the rest of the card. The flowers were also coloured with Promarkers and the highlights and shimmer were added before glueing them into the card. The last step was to add the rhinestones to the flowers and the card was ready.

Here are the challenges I am putting this card into:

Hope you enjoy the card as much as I had fun making it!

Starla Jones mixed media page.

Recently we received bad news concerning a passing of a close family member. I have been so upset I felt no joy in crafting. But now I decided there was a time to pick myself up and this sentiment made my smile.

Jump to Oddball Stamps blog page and take a look at this months challenge: Die Cuts.

I used Dylusion sprays for the background with ghost masking technique. Afterwards added gold stain paint by Ranger to create the the brick effect . Afterwards added the digi stamp ( I used my pro markers to colour the image) with the stars die cutting them and glueing into the paper. Unfortunately I had not planned my sentiment too well and had to squeeze the words for the quote. At the end I used wink of Stella to add a bit of shimmer to the page.

I used a digi stamp from the amazing Lizzy Love. You can find this stamp here.  Have a loot at her amazing Oddball Arts Stamp shop on Etsy.

I am adding this page to the following challenges.

The Craft Barn - Words.

Easter mix media page.

Hello! I hope everyone had a great Easter break and is feeling as creative as I am! Oddball Arts is hosting another fabulous challenge on the blog this time it is a Spring Challenge so feel free to add your amazing spring creations to the competition. For the Easter occasion I created my very own mixed media page which I then used for cards. I love the idea of creating your own personal masterpiece and sharing all the love with close to the heart. Lizzy is also hosting a challenge on her Facebook page so hop there and say hello! You can take part too as there are great prizes to be won. Here is the link to Facebook group called Oddball Art Stamps by Lizzy Love . Here you can find a link to Lizzy's amazing Etsy shop to purchases her digi stamps and other great creations.

Here is my creation:

I started this page by colouring the digital image from Lizzy's collection. I used my Promarkers and my newest purchase and love A Wink of Stella clear pen. I wish the picture could give justice to the shimmer but unfortunately I am not as skilled photographer as I wish I was. Then I painted the background using my watercolour set and stamped the border using archival ink. Next step was making my own stencil and just by using a single punch hole in the acetate I managed to create this small spots using white acrylic paint. Next step was finding some papers and washi for banners and I am just in love with those pastel colours. After adhering to the page I added the basket and using my watercolours once more did some shading. The only thing left to d was to add the sentiment printed with my labelling machine and all done!

I would love to add my page to following challenges:

Thanks so much for taking time to look at my work!

Hi I have sime exciting news and new project to share with you. I have been so lucky to be chosen a member of a design team for Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog and from 1st of March I will be sharing my creations with fellow DT members!

My first project was  a card I made for my work colleague for her wedding we attended in February. I had hand drawn and painted the digi myself  trying to catch the likeliness of the couple. Used my cameo cuts from Silhouette Store and the gold toppers, flowers and gems I purchased in Hobby Craft.

Hope you lie it as the couple certainly loved it!

Handmade Midori/Fauxdori notebook.

Ho everyone! I hope you all have a nice Valentine day spend with OH or friend or family! Just wanted to share with you my recent love for notebook making. I am obsessed! As it goes there is also a new challenge on Facebook group for all the Oddballers and a little birdie told me there will be a new DT call coming soon so stay tuned!

Here are some photos of my recent project for Anything goes challenge, click here to enter the group!

I used this amazing digi stamp from Lizzy Love's Etsy store, you can find it here .  I printed her out on a heavy cardstock ensuring she was positioned in the right corner. Afterwards I scored the lines for the Midori size notebook.  I painted the image with my promarkers and sharpies and added highlights with white posca pen.

Next step was to colour the background and I used my watercolours to do so. Before they dried out I used a baby wipe to bled the colours together and allowed to dry. Mixed black with some white and added some darker shading so the images could stand out a little.  Using colourful pens did some writing in the background and a uneven border. Do not like using a ruler to do this as I love this messy uneven look.

Used similar method for the back and the flap. Then I adhered 2 small magnets to close the notebook together and attached the bakers twine pom pom for the page marker before glueing scrapbook paper to the back . Added the lines to the background of the paper and cut the heavy cardstock pages to the back. Used a heavy duty stapler to bind it all together. At the end added red and black washi tape on the layer of double sided tape to keep the washi together and cover the staples.

I would like to enter the project to the following challenges:

TCP Tuesday: The cats pajamas - Anything goes.
Simon Says Stamp - Red + Pink
Craft Hoarders Anonymous - How I love thee
Crafts Galore Encore Challenges - Use a stamp or digi for February
4 Crafty Chicks - Valentines

Thanks for watching !

Lizzy's Whimsy Stamp release!

So our lovely Lizzy Love started her adventure and cooperation with another stamp company. She had released her rubber stamps with amazing Whimsy Stamps ! Such good news! As a Designer Team member I have been asked to prepare a project for the day and I decided to do something else. So here it is...

I used Oddball Arts Stamp which is 4"2 on the longest side and coloured with my Promarkers. I added a cut out from one of my old scrapbook papers and added a paper flower cut out. I sized and cut the tab for the filofax and painted it with my Dylusion Red Post Box colour spray and used some gold distress stain paint from Ranger on the edges to give it some sparkle. Then using my archival ink I stamped the hearts background and using a stencil and white pain did some do swirls. Used black marker to write the quote found on my pinterest board and do the border. Afterwards went off to laminate it and punch the holes for the rings! simple!

Wanted to put this into following challenges:

Thanks for being interested in the post! Do check Lizzy's stamps and look into the challenge blog and take part in the competition as there are fantastic digis to be won! Do not forget there are monthly challenges on our Facebook group too called Mixed.Mediaology(heart)Oddball Arts Stamps. There are always anything goes challenges with many prizes to be won!

Winter mixed media.

Happy New Year's everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous and safe celebrations.

Oddball Arts host another challenge on the blog: Winter. I created this mixed media page in my handmade album. I really loved working on this page and used variety of mediums.

Firstly I used light watered down white gesso to cover some of the sparkles on this silver glitter page. It was really silver and I felt it would take too much from the page. Then I used some blue stain paint from Tim Holtz to add a bit of colour to the background. I used dry kitchen towel to blend it to the background a little. When it dried I added some perfect pearls to give the page some glimmer here and threre. Sprayed with a bit of mist to set it in. Meanwhile coloured the little digi stamp from Oddball Art using my Letraset Promarkers and used a bit of paint for highlights before cutting her out. After stamping the background with heart background stamp I glued the image on using mod podge covering only back of the picture. Added  some bling swirls purchased from Hobbycraft and some liquid perfect pearls from Ranger. I cut out the snowflake templates from my cameo and used modeling paste to finish of the page.

The challenges I am entering this page for:
